For a visiting person, Juan Dolio is a small classic resort town stretching along the sea coast. In the museum, you will listen to a fascinating story about the development of rum production in the Dominican Republic, and then you will be given the opportunity to taste several varieties of this strong drink. Cave of Miracles
If you drive a little further along the highway from San Pedro de Macoris towards La Romana, you can find the Cave of Miracles, where interesting excursions are also arranged. How to get to Juan Dolio
Juan Dolio’s proximity to the capital’s Las Americas airport determines the ease with which you can reach it – just 30 minutes by bus or taxi. From Santo Domingo itself, the ride is not much longer – about 45 minutes. It will take the same amount of time to travel to Juan Dolio from La Romana. Tourists heading to Juan Dolio from Puerto Plata should be prepared for the four-hour intercity bus journey.
