Language spoken in China

What language is spoken in China? Everyone on Earth is aware that it is Chinese that acts as the most widely spoken language in the world. It is the population of China that wins among other inhabitants of the planet, and they win thanks to the number of people living in the Middle Kingdom.

The Chinese language is recognized as the most difficult in the world, but at the same time it is one of the main “working” languages of many international organizations (including the UN, etc.). About 1.3 billion of the world’s population speaks Chinese, which puts it in first place among the languages.

Please note that the Chinese language includes many dialects. Some of them have really significant differences, as a result of which, the inhabitants of some provinces do not understand each other.

Despite the fact that Chinese is recognized as the most difficult language in the world, it has a very simple grammar.

It has no cases, declensions, and nouns do not have a gender. Phrases that are built in Chinese are of the same type. In addition, the Chinese language lacks punctuation.

By the way, in the late 50s of the 20th century, a language reform was carried out in China, as a result of which a special transcription system was created, due to which foreigners were able to start learning Chinese. It was as a result of the introduction of this system that Chinese characters began to be written using the Latin alphabet.

Due to the fact that there is no alphabet in Chinese, you will never find a computer keyboard in Chinese. For this, the pinyin system is used.

The complexity of the Chinese language lies in the fact that it is a tonal language. As a result, the same word has several different meanings.

Due to the uniqueness of the Chinese phonetic system, this language has a minimum number of words that have been borrowed from other languages.

You can only find a few thousand borrowed words. In addition, it is very difficult to introduce borrowed words into the translation system, so there are very few of them.

At the same time, there are quite a lot of Chinese words in foreign languages. For example, tea, pearls, ketchup mean “fish sauce”, and kumquat means “golden orange”.

Please note that there are no words in Chinese that would mean the words “yes” or “no”. In particular, to give a negative expression, they use negative or affirmative particles.
