What hotel guests like: Checked into the hotel for one day as part of exploring the island. We booked a standard ocean view room. We were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality of the Victoria manager – we were provided as a bonus with a huge villa on the first line of the beach. The beach is fantastic, wide and with little to no ebb. There were 100 meters of white sand from the villa to the water. We have never seen such a wide area anywhere else in Zanzibar. There is not even anything to add, it is a must see. The staff lives in the “Hakuna Matata” and “Field-field” mode (“everything is fine, relax, take your time”). That is, everything is very unhurried, unobtrusive and sometimes forgetful)) Therefore, sometimes I had to go to the bar myself for drinks, but I do not see this as a particular problem. Once again, a stroll along such a wonderful beach is just a thrill.
Riu Palace Zanzibar – All Inclusive

What hotel guests love: Nice, modern hotel in an excellent location. Very polite, friendly staff. What hotel guests like: I liked it so much that in the end I didn’t go on a single excursion. I really didn’t want to leave there) The kitchen is super! Service is great! Upgraded to “all inclusive”, did not regret it. You can swim regardless of the ebb / flow. Absolutely everything admired from the first minute of check-in, an incredibly beautiful garden area where you feel like in paradise, very stylish, cozy and clean rooms with a huge terrace, the location of the hotel is the best, since you don’t feel the ebb and flow, the beach is so beautiful that even at night you can’t I wanted to go to the beach in the evening, there is always live music and a fire, which betrays a special atmosphere. There are restaurants with delicious food on three levels of the hotel, the menu is varied and very decent. The staff separately deserves attention and praise, so attentive and friendly that you feel like in a family.

What Hotel Guests Love: The staff were amazing. We had a great stay. The rooms are large and comfortable. The breakfast was very good, the à la carte food in the restaurant was the best in Kendwa. The pools and layouts are impressive. This was my third time in Kendwa in 20 years. I experienced Kendwa during the hippie days, where there are probably 5% of tourists now. In total, I spent over 40 days in Kendwa. This was my best and most memorable vacation. The children cried when it was time to leave.

What hotel guests like: Location. The hotel is on the beach, panoramic windows, amazing view! The hotel as a whole can swim and the beach is better than in many other parts of the island, but gourmets will love the beach to the right of the hotel, literally 100 meters (the path is also along the beach). I saw the situation personally, when a man, having stumbled upon a sea urchin swimming somewhere, came to our administrator for help, it seems her name was Sarah, she helped him within 10 minutes, the next day when I met him, he did not feel no discomfort, although many told me that after the hedgehog the rest ends … Meals. In the evening, you can walk to the left of the hotel along the beach and you will see just dozens of crabs, they are everywhere, but not in the same amount as in this part) Bottom line.
